I was born in Kingston Jamaica in 1979.  I migrated to America when I was 15 years of age and later joined the US Army as an attack helicopter mechanic. I served as a staff sergeant in the Army for 7 years and then graduated from the University of Texas in San Antonio with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

In November 16, 2011 the Lord Jesus rescued me from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after being diagnosed with the illness during the Iraq war. However, God by His grace led me to natural health when a man shared the gospel with me and led me to the greatest healer of them all, my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I had been prescribed 14 pills of Zoloft for anxiety which I refused. Instead the Lord transformed my mind with His word, and my manic depression was turned to overwhelming joy.

My anxiety turned into great courage. In addition, the Lord changed my diet from fast food to eating real organic food as well as taking supplements from Nature’s Sunshine. I lost over 35 lbs since I gave my life to Christ and subsequently I fired my doctor, you can too. The Lord says in Rev 22:2, “The leaves shall be for the healing of the nations.”

I was born again spiritually back in 1977 after going thru the trauma of my baby and husband both having surgery in one month and financially facing losing everything we had worked for the past 5 years. I am thankful that God allowed me to come to the end of myself so that I finally called out to Him from my heart to forgive me and to take over the control of my life.

It was the most wonderful day of my life, because I met Jesus, my very best friend. After finding salvation I wanted to tell everyone that they too could know for sure that they could have eternal life like it talks about in I John 5: 11-15 “And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.  I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.  This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” Jesus is so much more than a friend; He is my Savior and Lord, my protector and guide, my God in whom I trust.

My experience with herbs began in 1982 when a friend introduced me to Echinacea/ goldenseal for my daughter’s strep throat. I was shocked that something besides antibiotics really worked for something like that and saved me from having to pay for another doctor visit. Muscle testing was one of the methods He showed me. I had Arthritis /Lupus and the Medical Doctors wanted me to take pain killers, steroids and 19 aspirin per day. The pain killers were only a band aid; the steroids were turning me into “Pillsbury Dough Boy” and I Praise God that I didn’t take all those aspirin and Tylenol, because I now know that it would have destroyed my stomach, bones, and liver. Instead God led me to a chiropractor that used Muscle Testing to find that I was allergic to dairy and sugar! When I followed the Candida Protocol he gave me, my Lupus and pain went away!

In 1993 the Lord clearly led me back into a ministry with herbs and His natural ways of healing in answer to my prayer for Him to show me what He could do with my life, if I totally gave it to Him. It was like a roller coaster ride into this new way of thinking about how to take care of health issues. He led me to a card file, “Treasure Chest” at a friend’s house that showed the natural remedies that you could use for hundreds of health issues. I wanted one and my friend made an appointment for me to meet the lady, Kim that she got the card file from.

Iridology was the next method God used to show me His natural ways of health analysis, because Kim looked into my eyes that day and saw that my kidney was deteriorated. I was skeptical but three days later my kidneys shut down on me and it was either try the Juniper berries and watermelon seeds she recommended or an Emergency Room visit. Again I was amazed that natural foods and herbs could heal the body of my serious issues. Nature’s Sunshine was the direction that God led me for products. The card file, Treasure Chest, referred to Nature’s Sunshine products.

I look back in thankful amazement at how God protected and led me to very high quality products from a Company with integrity. I really didn’t know anything at the time about the difference in herb quality, but I now know that God protected me from investing in the wrong company. Nature’s Sunshine also really invested time to educate me about the body and how herbs work to activate, build and cleanse. They have the basic foundational products to get our bodies back on track.
